image1Whether we are ready or not, December is only 1 day away.  December means, hot chocolate, fires in the fireplace, holiday decorations, lights, and maybe snow (not so much in this area, but you never know).  Every year, we anxiously await the square lit up with a string of lights.  There’s something about the twinkling lights that wipe away the stress of the holiday season, even if it’s just for a second.

Thankfully in West Tennessee there are plenty of opportunities to walk or drive through simple or elaborate light decorations.  At the beginning of the month many towns have Tree Lighting ceremonies and even parades to image2introduce the Holiday season.  Grab the family and head out to these tree lightings or parades to get away from the stress of gift shopping, cleaning for visitors coming in, and decorating your own house.

The holidays aren’t a time to be stressed out, but more a time to cherish with your family.  And, honestly, I can’t think of anything better than going out and seeing lights put a smile on everyone’s face.
