elvis-presley-dancing-thesuiteworld-226x300It was 37 years ago when we lost a King. No not King George VI (that was 1952), or Stephen King (he’s still living/writing), but the King of Rock n Roll…Elvis Presley.  Whether you swooned over his rocking hips, cried to one of his ballads, or didn’t even like him, he still goes down in history as changing the sound of music and introducing the world to Rock n Roll.

Over 1/2 a million people travel from around the world, to walk up to the gates of Graceland to get a glimpse of how this King lived and pay their respect.  Thanks to the efforts of Priscilla, these hallowed grounds have been preserved and saved for fans to enjoy, cherish, and remember the King.

It’s overwhelming to walk through the trophy building to see the hallway of golden records, Grammys, and other awards.  You never truly understand his impact on music until you witness and experience Graceland.

If you are an Elvis fan, Elvis week has been marked on your calendar for months now, your flight is booked, you’ve asked off work from August 8-17, and you’ve been listening to Elvis XM Radio for the past month to prepare.  West Tennessee is ready to welcome visitors from all over the globe!
