Come Day Trippin’ with us in celebration of our rich historical and literary heritage in West Tennessee during Black History Month. Starting on the banks of the mighty MississippiRiver, the Heritage and “Roots” Bus Tour will highlight African American historical sites through West Tennessee, including: Slave Haven Underground Railroad, National Civil Rights Museum, Beale Avenue (Beale Street), Alex Haley Museum and Interpretive Center, Ripley Historic Downtown Square, Historic Covington Square, and Canaan Baptist Church.
The West Tennessee Heritage and “Roots” Tour will depart from the Tennessee State Welcome Center at 119 N. Riverside Drive in Memphis every Tuesday in February at 8:30AM and return at 4:00PM. Cost (excluding meal) is $40.00.
